San Joaquin Angels is an angel investment group located in San Joaquin County in California’s great Central Valley. San Joaquin Angels provides attractive private company investment opportunities to its members, while enhancing economic prosperity through the financing and growth of local businesses.

Angel investors invest time and money in early stage entrepreneurs and their businesses. Angels often provide the first outside equity capital in private companies. Angels tend to invest in start-up and early-stage companies, while venture capitalists typically invest later in the business lifecycle. In the U.S., Angel investors provide nearly 90% of the outside equity capital necessary to launch start-up companies. Angel investors typically share the following interests of:

• Supporting homegrown entrepreneurs
• Creating local jobs
• Giving back to the community
• Portfolio diversification through a potentially high-performing asset class
• Willingness to offer wisdom and guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs

We offer unique services whether you are a Site Selector, Local Business Owner or a Start-up Entrepreneur. If you have operations in the Stanislaus River Valley or are evaluating this possibility, the Business Resource Center is for you. Assistance is available to you in our office; appointments are encouraged. We also work with clients through e-mail or by phone.

The Alliance Economic Development Manager works closely with local employers of all sizes to help them resolve any business issues affecting the way they do business. One-on-one interviews are conducted to identify their business concerns. Ultimately it is the goal of the Business Assistance Program to reduce any threats to employers and improve the local business climate so businesses can continue to grow and create new job opportunities in the Stanislaus River Valley.
