We want to remind Central Valley residents to shop local and regional businesses. Let's try to keep our dollars in the Central Valley where it can help businesses survive/thrive, job creation, improved education and public safety - these things which our region needs badly. Please share your ideas for promoting local shopping with your fellow residents.

How about we suggest some local businesses or restaurants?
I particularly like the Wonderful Chinese restaurant in Elk Grove and the El Novillero Restaurant in South Sacramento.

I agree with RK Thunder. There are some great independent restaraunts in Stockton that get overshadowed by all the chains. Some of my favorites are:
Papapavlos
Angelina's
Le Bistro
Dave Wong's
